In this chapter, we learn that Tommo has been in the Philippines for a while and is now back in Japan. He's here to shoot some polaroids for a mangazine. He doesn't want to get involved with the "yakuza" because he's not sure he'll ever be able to accept a bribe from them. He wants to shoot in the privacy of his own home. He also wants to make sure that the polaroids don't show any of the "seedy types" who are rumored to be hanging around the girl's house. He decides to look for the van with Tomaruin in it, since the police won't help him if they find it. Tommo decides to take a polaroid of the crowd, since it's so clean and presentable. Then he starts to shoot the pictures with a professional photographer behind the lens. He realizes that this is his first time doing a pin-up shoot, and he hopes that the girl will be okay with it. He tells the photographer to take him to the station to get some work done.
