In this chapter, we're introduced to the artist and his friends, who've just returned from a holiday party. They're psyched to go, but they're bummed that they can't just hang out with their friends at home. They want to go to the end of the year party at their favorite bar, but the party is too big for them. They don't feel like they belong at such a party, and they'd rather hang out at home, where they can do their thing. The artist is bummed that he doesn't have a chance to hang with his friends at the party, but he's also bummed that his friend's dad is going to be there. He's going to find out the truth about his dad's shady business dealings.
