In this chapter, we learn that Mina has run away from school. We learn that she may have run away with a male friend or a female friend. We also learn that this is not the first time Mina's run away has happened. In fact, this is the second time in this chapter that she has gone to school without a male companion. She has also gone to a different school in another part of town, and she has not been able to find any of her classmates. She asks the other students if they know what happened, and they tell her that it was either a girl or a boy who ran away. She tells them that she will try to find out what happened.
