Vol.2 opens with a soliloquy by a young man who has just returned from a visit to his mother's house. The young man tells his mother-in-law that he's been working as a model for the past three years. He's also a fan of the young woman's father, who is a famous manga artist. The man's wife works as an airline attendant, and his wife's mom works as a manga artist's personal assistant. When the young man asks about his mother, the woman tells him that her name is Kishida, and that she's the daughter of a famous Japanese general. Kishida's mother is also an actress, and her father is a well-known character in Japanese literature. She's a famous character in her own right, but Kishida doesn't seem to have much in common with her mother. The woman also tells Kishida that her father's name is Miyu Koike, and Miyu is a popular manga artist who's had a lot of success in the United States. Miyu's son is also a popular character in Japan, and the young men's parents are both fans of Miyu and his work. When Kishida asks if Miyu will pick him up, Miyu says he'll, but Miyu didn't, and Kishida thinks Miyu must have lost Miyu because he was dressed so differently than he is at home.
