In this chapter, we learn that the people of the whiteout village are in dire need of a fight. They must use their powers to "white out" the magic of the world, and restore balance to it. They cannot abandon the village at this point, but they must stand their ground and fight. There are "hands" everywhere, they say, and they are fighting to save the world. They are heading for the top of the mountain, but first they have to deal with the "monsters" on the mountain. They need to stop them before they get to the top, because they've got to get there quickly. They'll also have to climb up the mountain again, because there's no way they're going to stop there on their own.
