In this chapter, we learn that Le Bret has finished his mission to change the course of his life. He's done all the "missions" he set out to do, and he's ready to celebrate the new year. He asks Le Bret if he'll be able to sleep in one bedroom instead of two, and Le Bret says he'd be fine with that. Le Bret then tells Le Bret about a family member who's pregnant. The baby is healthy, but the doctor says Le Bret's friend has relapsed into depression, which Le Bret doesn't like. He says that when they grow up, they'll always remember who they were in the past.
