In this chapter, we learn that the young man we met in the previous chapter is now engaged to another woman. He tells us that he wants to marry her, but he doesn't know what to do. He wants to give her a pair of winter gloves so that she can wear them in the cold weather. We learn that he and his wife have been together for seven years, and that they planned to get married in the future. But now that they're engaged, he realizes that he's lost the girl he loved the most in the whole world. He asks his wife to take care of her and not abandon her like he did.
