In this chapter, the narrator tells us that he's currently in a long-distance relationship with Helen. He's worried that their distance will make it difficult for them to be together. He tells her that he took some pictures of her recently, and he'll make a meme of them. He also tells her about his dad, who's in a bad mood. He keeps calling Helen's name, and Helen says that she can forgive him because she met her grandma and her mom is a tough cookie. The narrator tells Helen that she's most worried about how she'll protect her from being separated from her boyfriend. She's been trying to do little things to make Helen feel better, like giving her flowers and singing a song for her. Helen is worried that her boyfriend will be in love with her, but she doesn't know if that's possible. She also worries that if they see each other, it will mean that her father will no longer be around. She takes a few days out of her life to be with her.
