In this chapter, we meet Martin and Rosa, who have just returned from a long day at work. Rosa is trying to get Martin to give her a hard time. She's trying to make Martin feel like he's not worthy of Rosa's love, and she's also trying to keep Martin from stealing business away from her colleagues. Martin doesn't want Rosa to do that, but he also knows that if she becomes his client, he'll have to "bend and scrape to curry favor" . He's worried about what Rosa will do to him if he becomes her client. He tells Rosa that they're going to go for a walk downstairs and check out a new claw-game shop that's just around the corner. He also tells her that he has to do some makeup if they go out, and he'd like to stay home and chill with her. Rosa tells Martin that she wants to play some games with him, but she can't stand to stand up to him. She tells him that she'll make him feel her love by playing the game with him the next day.
