In this chapter, we learn that Haruto's father, Uta Uda, was a member of the upper class, and that he and his son have been living in Harumi for many years. Uta and Haruto are now married, and they have a son, Haruto, whom they call Haruto Jr. Haruto tells Uta that he has heard that the family has been invited to a cultural festival, but that he does not want to participate in the festival because he wants to spend the day with his son.
