In this chapter, we learn that Hiroshi's love for the white prince is growing stronger and stronger. He is now eighteen years old, and he is looking for a job. He tells us that he has been cutting the prince's hair since he was a child, and that the prince is very fond of his scissors. Hiroshi tells him that he thinks that he is in love with the prince, and the two begin to talk about their love for one another. In the classroom, Hiroshi is sitting in front of the blackboard and complaining about the fact that the other boys are changing into their swim suits. The boys are looking at the girls and commenting on how big they are, and Hiroshi thinks that the boys are trying to catch up with them. He asks the boys if they know why the boys aren't swimming, and they tell him that it's "dirty" . He then asks the girls if they have seen him naked, and she says that he did. She then asks him if he has any interest in love, and when he says no, she tells him to hush and go away.
