The chapter opens with a flashback to the previous chapter, in which Hiroyuki's father, Kuroseki, complains about his son's behavior. He complains about the fact that his son has been neglecting his duties as a gardener, and that he has been giving Hiroyuki a female student to be his shield. The flashback also shows that Hiroyuki is very upset about his father's treatment of him. He tells his father that he wants to leave the house, but his father refuses to let him go. He also tells Hiroyuki that he will be kicked out of the house if he does not leave. Hiroyuki, however, is determined to stay, and he and his father decide to go for a walk together.
