In this chapter, the monster clairvoyants try to figure out what's going on. They're trying to find coins in the mountains, but they don't want to run into anyone who might be a monster. They need to find someone who's a good person and then attack them before they notice them. If they run into a monster, they're going to have to transform into a normal human, which means they'll have to hide in plain sight. The only way they can do that is if they find another monster, and that's what they have to do right away. They can't wait to find out who the other monster is, and then they can attack him or her before they see them. But if they meet someone who looks like a normal person, then they've got to hide their faces, too, because that'll make them look like monsters, too. The other monster will be cautious, and the two of them will have to fight each other before they can figure out who they are.
