This is a locked chapterChapter 46: The Man Who Does Not Die
About This Chapter
In this chapter, we learn that the man who has not yet died is trying to join forces with the other vampires. He is the one who has changed. He has learned how to shoot without killing himself. The other vampires have no choice but to kill him if they want to keep him alive. He tells them that he is the real thing, and that no one can kill him. He says that he met the monster as well, and she far exceeded his expectations. He asks why they are letting him roam free, and they reply that they are doing so because they have committed all the sins he has committed. He adds that he does not do it because he craves eternal life, but because he wants to see the smile of his wife once more sadly. He also says that if he runs into the monster, he will kill her. He then asks if he is being posed to see that he has no power to stop him, and he asks if she feels the same way he does. She replies that she does not. She then says that she has no memory of anything and that she must have erased her memories as well. She adds that if she believed there was a devil in the world, she would have killed him. She says that this is his fault for destroying everything.
