In this chapter, we learn that Shuchi is no longer with the monster, and that Mina and Enoshima are acting as Shuchi's assistants. Enoshima asks Mina if she would kill Shuchi if he were working with them, and Mina replies that she would, but that it is murder to do so, and she will dispose of her before she can do so to Shuchi. She tells him that he is not without sin, but with out his sin, she would never have been awakened to release the humanity of death. She says that she is not responsible for the deaths of the people she has helped to create, but if she were responsible, she wouldn't have awakened from the "inevitable fate of death" . She warns him not to draw this out, and to join her in the fight against the monster.
