In this chapter, we learn that the alien ship has crashed in this part of the world, and that all of the people who have collected the coins are trapped there. The coins are guarded, and the only way to protect them is to make sure that no one else has the same special power as Kaito. The only thing that keeps the people from being killed is that they're not allowed to die, even if they want to. Kaito says that he has an idea: if anyone wants to fight him, he'll make all of them disappear. That way, he says, they'll all be able to die. He's sorry that he can't save you yet, but he doesn't think he's strong enough to do so yet. He says that the parts of him that he used to make were just bits of hair and bone fragments from random corpses. The rest came from Kagaya, who's angry that they made him disappear. Kagaya is going to do whatever he can to stop him. He wants to defeat him so that he won't have to fight Kaito again. But Kaito isn't going to let him do it. He just wants him to be alive.
