In this chapter, we are introduced to a new character named "Shui Chi" . He is a young man who has just returned from the war and is trying to find his way in the world. He meets with a group of men who are trying to help him. He tells them that he has come to erase all traces of his past, and that he will do so if they fail to do so. The men are impressed with his strength, but they do not understand why he has changed so much in such a short period of time. He explains that he is not allowed to stop the story, even if it is immoral, because he has always followed the path he believes is correct. He asks them to kill him if they kill him, so that they will not be able to stop him from telling his story. They refuse, saying that he needs to suffer for a long time before they can kill him.
