The next morning, the three of them discuss the events of the night before. They all agree that it was a good thing that Hiroka didn't die, because Hiroka's death would have made it even more difficult for them to defeat the remaining monsters. Hiroka, however, is not so sure. He thinks that the battle was a mistake, because the attackers were three men and a woman, and Hiroka gave one of them an order to capture one of their guards and then turn the battle into a battle between them. The time has come for Hiroka to swear allegiance to the gods, and he agrees to do so.
