Even though he's not a slime, Rimuru can recognize him. He's wearing a spare outfit, just like the rest of the gang. He tells Rimuru that he'd like to go with him, but he doesn't have any rice to take with him. Rimuru says that there are many beasts moving out of the depths of the earth, and that they need his help. He suggests that they join the guards, and Rimuru agrees. They go to check out some of the new skills that Rimuru has gained from being stabbed. He says that he gained "thermal fluctuation resistance," "physical damage resistance," and "pain nullifica" from getting stabbed, and "electrical resistance" and "paralysis resistance" from the voice he heard talking to him before he got stabbed. The voice was talking about "great sage," which Rimuru thinks is a really cool name for a new skill. He also mentions that he got "black thunder," which is another new skill that he didn't know he had before getting stabbed.
