In this chapter, the demon lord tells everyone that he's decided to become "a true demon lord" . But he hasn't made any public declaration of his new status. He wants to challenge one of the forest guards to a fight, but he doesn't know how to do it. The forest guards agree to help him, but they're also in debt to the government for taking in the refugees in the first place. The demon lord says he'll take care of them until he gets back to Carrion, and then he can go back to being a normal person. He asks everyone to give him a tour of town. He's also happy to hear that he has been promoted to a higher rank. He says he needs to do something to make sure that no one else gets a promotion like that. He also asks if he has gotten a "special gift" from the government. He wonders if the government gave him a gift when he became a demon lord, but when he turned into a demon, he didn't need it. He tells everyone to suppress him a promise that he won't betray him to anyone. Then he announces that there's been a soul corridor between the two of them, and that they've both become "lords of storms."
