The next morning, the Governess wakes up to find that she's not nearly ready to go back to bed. She's been up all night, but she still doesn't feel well. The Governess apologizes for being drunk the night before, and says she'll be glad to hear that he's an honest drunk. She asks if she can tell Aida about her new job and her relationship with her teacher, but says she can't tell her. She also asks if he can tell her about his relationship with aida, and he says he can, but he'll have to tell her when he gets back to her mother's house.
