Back in high school, a girl named Aida asks a boy named Hiroyuki why he hasn't told her that he's Hiroyuki's boyfriend. Hiroyuki tells her that they've been pretending to be in love with each other for a long time, and that if Hiroyuki finds out, he'll be able to find out that the two of them have been keeping a cover for each other. The girl says that she's not sure what she wants to tell Hiroyuki, but she knows that Hiroyuki is still her student, and she doesn't want to upset him by telling him the whole story. She also knows that if she tells Hiroyuki about the kiss, it'll make him feel bad for it, and Hiroyuki thinks that's why Aida has been acting so distant lately. He tells Aida that he needs to go home and get some food, but Aida wants to know what's going on. She asks him if he wants to spend the night with her, and he says he does, but that she rejected him. Aida says that if he hadn't tried, she wouldn't have been able to reject him. She tells him that she has a flash card that she can use to keep him in her thoughts, but Hiroyuki refuses to give it to her.
