The scene opens with a conversation between Mifune and her maid, who has just returned from a night out with her husband. The maid is shocked to learn that her husband is cheating on her, and she curses her for being the only one who knew about the affair. She is also shocked that her boss never told her anything about it, and so she is very sorry. She goes on to say that she is tired from the day's work, and that she has no idea why she is working at the time job. She screams, and the maid trembles, but she is unable to stop herself from crying.
