The chapter opens with the narrator's description of her husband, who has just returned home from a night of "wet penetration" . He tells her that he is her husband and that she is "my" wife. She tells him that she wants to see him, but she is afraid to look at him because she is scared of what might be going on in his room. The narrator tells him to "just con tinue" , and she tells him not to worry about the "cream" because "I'm beat." She then tells him she is glad that he has left the house work to him. She then asks him if he still loves her, and he replies that he does. She says that they have been busy lately, and that they haven't been alone since they had sex a month ago. She asks if she can have sex with her any more, and the narrator says that she loves it. He then asks her if she doesn't want to do it with him any more. She replies that she does, and they have had sex in the past month. He asks her why she would ever want to have sex again with him and she says that he always comes home late from work, so she is not sure why he would ever do such a thing
