The next morning, Hirokazu begins his work early, and Hiro asks if he can go home to get some sleep. He tells him that it is too late to do so, and that he is the one who decides whether or not to go out with him. He then tells him about the interview, which everyone said was great, and about the fact that the publishing industry was in a slump. He says that the industry would have been sold if he had been able to smile at them, but that it would not have been, because the industry is in such a slump right now. He also says that he will now be free to work on whatever he likes, since he will no longer have to work for a living. He is sure that if he were to work with him, he would be able to steal a project, and he is certain that this is what he will do. He sends him a gift for his cousin, who has just given birth to a second child.
