At the end of the chapter, Corinna tells us that she's not in love with anyone. She's just glad that she has two children. She thinks that's because of her husband that she can take care of them, even though he's a jerk. She tells us she'll try to talk to the ship's owner to find out what's going on. She also tells us about a meeting she had with a company manager. The company manager asked her if she'd be interested in starting a cooking class, and she said no. Confident about herself, she tells us, she told her manager that she had no time to do so before the meeting. She says that she feels confident about herself now that she knows how to do things her own way, which is why she has to push through. She doesn't want to waste time with the company manager, she says.
