Now that they've eaten all of the humans, the two of them are ready to tell each other what's happened. Before they can begin, however, the monster interrupts them. He wants to know what happened, but the monster can't understand what he's saying. The monster explains that the warrior has an ability to "absorb power from others" , which means that if he were a demon, he wouldn't be able to do what the girl is doing. He also explains that if she were a god, she would have been able to use her power to make the world a better place. He thanks the monster for eating humans, and says that he'd like to thank the warrior for making him human again. The freesia that the monster loved was just an illusion, he says, and that he wants to end things as a human.
