In this chapter, the demon, known as "pretext" or "freesia," tells the humans that they should "make yourselves scarce" because now that they don't have the "warrior's sword," they no longer have a way to defeat him. He tells them that he is the "true form" of a demon, and that both sides of him are the same. He explains that he was the one who sealed off the warrior from the world, and now that he's 20 years old, he can't live long enough to be a warrior again. He reminds them that they were the ones who fought against the warrior and sealed him off, and he reminds them how they should have told their mom about it from the beginning, since they're no longer able to hide. He says that the only person who could stop him is freesia, who is on his side, and how are they going to stop him? He asks her what she means by "lover," and she says that she's happy if he is here. He asks if she means "lover" in the plural, and she replies that she means her lover. She asks him if he meant "lover." He says no, he means his lover, and then he asks her to act like a lover in front of the two.
