The next morning, the demon says that he has learned that the freesia is the warrior and that demons are able to control their own emotions. He tells her that he is not a pet, and that he just started petting her without realizing that she was a pet. He asks her if she likes fish or meat, and she responds that she does. He says that since she likes cute things, he changed his appearance to lean like a boy. He then asks her to go against the wall and tap, a method he used many times in the past, to make her "heart race." She does so, and the two begin to talk. The demon asks her what she means by "eat," and she says that she wants to eat him. The two then discuss how they got into the house and how they were able to get into it. The children apologize for their behavior, but the demon tells them that he only said the truth, "you ugly steamed bun."
