In this chapter, we learn that the demon's presence in the room is connected to the heart of freesia, and that the barrier between the demon and her is not working. We learn that in order to regain the lost power of nature, the spirits must either cause a natural disaster or attack humans. In order to stop the war between humans, they must cause a different destruction. This is ironic, because the warrior who saved the world could not prevent the humans from infighting amongst themselves.
