This chapter opens with a description of the Wuxiang sword sect, which is located right outside of the city of Yinlu. It is a holy place, and no one can go there. The sect's headquarters is located in front of them, and the crest of the four major sects is in front. The two sceptres tap each other on the shoulder and tell each other to go and report to the sultan. The sultan tells them to go to the outer hall, where they will find out about the whereabouts of elder yun. They find out that elder yue has returned, and that the deputy sultan has been missing for some time. They go to find out what the news is about elder gongsun's mission, and they learn that he has sent lin feng on a secret mission. They are told that he is still fine, but that the suzarain is not allowed to know about it.
