Now that he's outside, he can breathe fresh air for the first time in a long time. He's also hungry, so he wants to pick some wild fruits and find some meat. The scroll of grit, he says, is all about "clearing one's head" and "translating worldly concerns" . He feels like he has entered the "late stage" of the "foundation establishment" , and now he can use his inner energy to "swoo" the beast away.
