In this chapter, we find out that the guy we thought was a jerk is actually a "master tier" in the eyes of the Elders. We learn that the Elders are looking for someone who is "far from simple" . So, we learn, the guy is going to expose his true strength. He's going to use his speed to destroy the guy. And he's not going to let the guy get away with it.
