When the phoenix spear is presented to the Senior Saint King, he exclaims that it is indeed a good one, and that he is the rightful owner of it. He explains that the weapon-refinement sect has put a restriction on the use of the chi-xiao token in order to please the sect's patron, and the only way to get rid of the restriction is to use the token. He tells the senior saint king that he has been waiting for him to deliver the token to him, and he thanks him for his help. The elder king says that he wishes he had gone to the weapons refining sect first, so that he could have gotten the spear before coming to the sect. He also says that if xia-oyao challenges him, he has the power to defeat him now. The senior king asks him how he wants to deal with the wangxians. He says that some of them may leave, but that he cannot be sure what fate awaits them. He asks the elder king if he knows his name, but the elder replies that he does not deserve to know his name. Senior saint king asks if it is normal that he and the sect master's relationship is not normal. He wonders if something is going on between the two men, and says that it seems that lin-yue is helping him win over the scepter. He then says that his duty is to help the sect, so it is only natural that he do everything in his power to do so
