In this chapter, Lin yue tells the story of how he came to be in the middle of the battle. He explains that the first generation of the sect master gave him the heart of budhi, but the second generation master discovered that the heart contained the dao and decided that the secret should be passed down through the generations. Lin says that he has tried many different techniques to refine the heart, but he cannot seem to do so. He says that eating the heart is a straightforward way to do it. Lin linyue thanks the master for letting him know that he is meeting someone.
