The next morning, Lingyi asks his mother if she wants to know the whole story. She tells him that she doesn't want to hear it, because she's worried that he's going to kill her. He tells his father that if he wants him to go, he has to go himself. The elder man tells Lingyi that he knows that the lady is still alive, and that the emperor's realm powerhouse has knelt down and confessed defeat. He says that the elder man can trust him, so he should get up and go back. The old man says that he has other things to do, but he hopes that Lingyi will let others know about it. When Lingyi says that his mother is still on her way, his mother says that she was mistaken and that she'll be back soon. She says that her heart is the lifeblood of the sect and that it's her duty to keep it strong. She asks if the old man allowed the young man to go that easily, and he says yes.
