This chapter opens with Linyue's amazement at the sight of his own arm. He is convinced that it is the arm of the king of heaven, and he asks the king for help. The king tells him that he can go to hell and ask for it. He tells Linyue that what he saw was the "final form" of the demonization of yin-kui. He says that once they go to war, no one can stop them. Linyue tells him to take care of his injury first, and then he will help him defeat the chixian pavillion and defeat the demon sea. He then tells the king that he will take out what is in the river dao in the upcoming hong-meng competition. The monk asks the monk when he got back, and the monk says that he came to find the king before the monk and the two other monks. He explains that the monk wanted him to send the king a message, and that he fell asleep in the monk's bed. He asks the monks why they came so early, and they tell him that they came too early to sleep more than they wanted to. He goes on to say that he did not think they would give him a warm welcome when he first arrived at the sect gate. When the monk asks him what he is doing at the wang-xian sect, the monk replies that he got hit a bit too hard during their spar back in the middle of the night.
