In this chapter, the young man, who is introduced as "jian mo," explains that he is the one who has plagiarised his designs in the latest issue of the magazine of the Empire's Club. He says that he has never read the magazine and that his designs for the club were created by himself. He tells the chief that he will investigate the matter. The chief tells him that he plans to go to the periodical office to find out if there is any way to get the magazine. The young man says that if he cannot figure out a way to solve the problem, he will go with the chief.
