The next morning, Zhengzhou waits for the return of his master, who has been kidnapped the night before. Zhengzhou notices that the factory where Gu was taken has been empty for some time. He also notices that Gu was kidnapped the day before, and that Gu's passport was destroyed four years ago in order to keep him from ever returning. He guesses that the person who took Gu in the first place was Zhengzhou's second uncle, the man who changed his name from "jian heng" to "second uncle." Zhengzhou is surprised to learn that the second uncle's son is trying to take over the empire.
