The next morning, Dr. Manette tells his patients that a rich man has come to see him for help with his "infertility" . He tells them that the man's first marriage was to a "playboy" at the age of eighteen, and that his second, third, and fourth marriages were to "twenty-three, twenty-four, and fifty-eight" women. The doctor tells the man that he is a "king scumbag" and that he wants "someone else" to profit from the man. He then tells the patient that he has been looking for a "blonde foreign girl" and has found her. The patient is shocked to learn that the doctor has been teaching him how to cure his infertility, and the doctor tells him to go ahead and be a "good doctor" and not to worry. He instructs the patient to take off his clothes and get up to go for a walk. He gives the patient a bath made from herbs and his "secret recipe" for increasing semen activity. After the bath, the patient feels twenty years younger than he was before the treatment. He wonders what the doctor means by "a sudden recovery" , but the doctor assures him that he will be able to "have my own kids" at 52 years of age.
