The young man who stole the stew is the grandson of De Fu's old-timer grandpa, and the young man tells his brother that if he touches his sister, he'll beat him up. He also tells his brothers that he's sick, and that he should go to the doctor. He tells them that he doesn't know why he got the disease, but that if his fiancee finds another man, she'll be left alone. The next day, De Fu and his men are arrested. They're also accused of breaking the law, and they're taken away to the police station for questioning. The young men tell their brothers that they'll sell them out of the house and home. They also tell them that the girl in the story has a name and that she's a friend of theirs. They ask him what he wants to do with his life, and he says he'd like to study medicine. He asks if he can study western medicine, which he thinks is useless, or if he should study Chinese medicine. They tell him that they want him to work at the hospital. He's fine with that, and then he tells the young men that he has a sister who's just graduated from high school and is confused about her future. She's waiting for him to pick her up and take her to college, and if he finds out that she has done anything wrong, he will send her parents to see her.
