One week later, the narrator is back on the road. He's hungry, he's tired, and he wants to get away from it all for a bit. He wants to go to the "film academy" and see what it's like to be a student there. The narrator's sister teases him about going, but he refuses, saying he doesn't want any of his parents' money. He says he'll give her all of his money if she ever does what the rich girls at the academy do. He also tells her that he heard that Stephen Carter is going to cast a female lead in his next film. He thinks this is great, but then he remembers that the actress in the film was fat, and the guy who drew her was so fat that she made him sick
