This chapter opens with a conversation between a young man named Sun dawei and his servant, the third master. The third master tells the young man that he is not a threat to the Flying Dragon because he is modest and does not have a criminal record. The young man tells the master that he knows who is in charge of the flying dragon and that he can beat mad bull. He tells the servant that he used a strong anesthetic on mad bull, but that he will not be able to wake him up because he has fainted. The servant tells him that medicine can also be poisonous, and that it is even worse to have no honor and to be ignorant. He then tells the second master that the young master has cast a "nightmare spell" on him. The second master is afraid that if the spell continues, it will become even worse and cause a conflict between different witches factions.
