About This Chapter
In this chapter, Mimura tells us that he's going to tell his sister about the "golden generation" of volleyball players. Mimura says that he doesn't know if he'll be able to come back later, but he does want to buy some more tapes for his sister. He also tells Mimura that his brother has been arrested for fighting again, and Mimura is going to have to go to the police station to get him out of trouble. He says that Mimura's sister, Fueko, is about to get into a fight with her brother, but Mimura isn't there, so he won't tell her about it. He tells her that she's supposed to help her friends in need, and that she shouldn't worry so much about what will happen to her when she'll never see them again. He adds that he was the one who put on the burden of playing for the team, and he blames Mimura for worrying so much. He thinks that if Mimura had been around, she'd have told Mimura not to worry about anything, and she would have been happy to help him out. She's not there, though, so Mimura can't say anything to her. He's sure that if she were there, she would tell him something silly to lighten up the atmosphere, like, "Oh, sorry, I died , big mistake, huh !" Mimura thinks that's a silly thing to say, and wonders if she would say something silly when she wasn't around.
