Several years ago, Koku yodani, a private school in Okayama Prefecture, began to bolster its sports clubs by offering athletic scholarships and creating a new sports department. One day, the girls' team meets up with the boys' team. The girls' coach, Hasegawa, asks the girls if they've seen each other before, and they all agree that it's great to meet each other. He tells them that he's going to give each of them three spikes from Sara kamakura, the captain of the team, so that they'll be able to enter the Hall of Fame. He also says that Sara is great at blocking, and that she's the only player in the history of the sport who's ever been able to block three spikes to the setter's spot. He says that they should give their audience a show, since Sara is so good at blocking. He then asks if they should try not to play, since they're not good enough to play. They agree that they are good enough, and he asks if she can dig three spikes. She says that she can't, because she doesn't even know how to do that. He goes on to say that Sara's handling of the ball is so precise that it makes her feel like she is part of a sports club.
