About This Chapter
In this chapter, we are introduced to the vice corporal of the Deokk army, a man named Kamilto. He is a member of the rebel army that has been sent to the kingdom of Bolk to rescue the prisoners. The vice corporal is outraged that the kingdom is planning to execute its own citizens on foreign soil. He threatens to kill the three heroes if they dare stand in his way. He tells them to gather and figure out what they want to do. He explains that they are not obligated to do anything for either of the prisoners or the quest, but that if they do, they will likely fail the quest. For example, if they transport the prisoners and they do not count as cargo, they may not be able to complete the quest because they will not have to choose between the two. This is the first of the two paths in the story, and it is important to note that this is not the main path of the story. It is the second of the branching storylines. The kingdom executes anyone they find, regardless of where they are in the world. The gods of the kingdom are listed as follows: zius god 1 : lady goddess arteros 2 : god of love and harmony. The only reason the kingdom executes people over statues is that they believe in the supremacy of the king. Even if they are a dictatorship, they execute people because they believe that the king is the god of peace. The arteros religion is the root of all evil in the kingdom, and the current king, Bolk, has turned the kingdom against it. If the kingdom were to achieve total unification, the first step would be to purge the religion of the arteros. If they are to realize this goal, then they must do whatever it takes to purge it.
