About This Chapter
In this short scene, we learn that the hero has been released from the dungeon and is back in the city. He tells us that he's tired of being a warrior, and that he wants to use his newfound strength to cure his mother's and his father's disease. He explains that he has been studying medicine for a long time, but that it's too expensive and time-consuming. He wants to be able to use the healing powers of his magic to cure the disease that his mother and father both have. He says that cutting living flesh is the best way to learn how to do this. He also explains that his father taught him how to fight against a real opponent when he was a young man. The only problem, says the hero, is that his parents sacrificed everything for him and his dream. He's going to have to get back home and show them that he can do something.
