In this chapter, we learn that Futashige's new team mate is planning to run away from the job, and that he's going to die before he can complete the next quest. Futoshige is furious, and he curses the new guy, calling him a "demon" and a "stab in the guts." He also curses his bosses, who are keeping him from quitting the job. He says that if he had died earlier, his world would have been over. He tells us that he was questioned by the police the night before, and the whole night, his heart was racing, but he didn't have a chance to sleep. The job is due next week, and all of the company's equipment is dead. He wishes he could turn off his brain, and just watch an anime.
