So the dragon is a fake and the real one is elsewhere. The two men discuss how they're going to defeat the real dragon. The real dragon isn't strong enough to take on the husk of the sage, so they'll use a catapult to distract it. They're also going to use wind magic to draw its attention away from the core of the dragon so that they can attack it from the outside. They can't lose the most important man in the group, and they've killed a bunch of monks in the process. They don't want to lose him, though, because he's such a big part of their plan.
