Back at the school, the boys talk about how lucky they are to be alive. They're not going to abandon their friend, who's been captured by a dragon bishop. They also talk about the fact that they're going to try to make a weapon out of gourd seeds, which they can use to make armor and weapons. They don't know if they'll be able to use the seeds to make weapons, but they do know that the dragon bishops are "more pow-erful than living things in the world" . The boys also mention that they know the woman who killed the dragon bishop, and that she's the same woman they killed three years before. They tease each other about the possibility of her coming back, and the boys tease her about not being able to do anything with her. Finally, they all agree that the next time the dragon attacks, they should try to kill her.
